Modes
of Participation
In addition to plenaries and round tables, the event will include workshops and
thematic symposia, distributed as follows:
Workshops: Delivered by national and/or international researchers invited for the
event.
Roundtables: Composed by national and international researchers invited to
discuss the central theme of SIGET.
Thematic Symposia: The symposia must be coordinated by two or three PhD
researchers from up to three different institutions. The coordinators are responsible
for evaluating all submitted abstracts, organizing and promoting debates in the
sessions. Each session, including the poster presentation, will last 3 hours. Teachers
of basic education, master’s degree students, masters, PhD students, doctors and
researchers in general may register for oral or poster communication at the
symposia. Posters may have a maximum of one author and one co-author. In this
case, master’s degree students, masters, basic education teachers, undergraduate
students and also basic education students may apply, as long as they are linked to
a scientific initiation project and in co-authorship with their professor/advisors.
Proposals
and Registration
Formatting rules for thematic symposium proposals:
1. Indication of the thematic axis in which the symposium is inserted.
2. Title of the symposium, name and academic affiliation of the coordinators.
3. Abstract of the proposal with a minimum of 200 and a maximum of 400 words,
including five keywords.
4. Abstracts can be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish.
5. Call for symposia: Registration starts on February 20th, 2022 and goes until March
20th, 2022. The submission needs to be sent to the following e-mail:

All abstracts, in the form of oral or poster communication, must contain the title,
author(s), name and acronym of the institution, a minimum of 150 and a maximum
of 300 words, three keywords. Abstracts must present objectives, theoretical
affiliation, methodology and partial results.

from April 25th to May 30th.
Result of the evaluations of abstracts submitted to the Symposia:
until June 30th, 2022.
